Customer Questions & Answers

  • Question: What are the key features of the SONGMICS Motion Sensor Trash Can?

Answer: The SONGMICS Motion Sensor Trash Can boasts a 13-gallon (50 L) capacity, making it ideal for busy households. It features a motion sensor that allows for wave or touch activation, providing a hands-free experience for convenience. The soft-close lid prevents slamming, ensuring quiet operation. The sleek stainless steel finish not only enhances its modern look but also makes it resistant to fingerprints, making it easier to clean.
  • Question: How does the motion sensor work on this trash can?

Answer: The motion sensor on the SONGMICS trash can utilizes infrared technology that automatically opens the lid when it detects motion within a specific range. This feature is particularly useful when your hands are full, like when disposing of kitchen waste while cooking. Just wave your hand over the sensor, and the lid will gently lift, allowing for hassle-free disposal.
  • Question: Is the SONGMICS Motion Sensor Trash Can suitable for outdoor use?

Answer: The SONGMICS Motion Sensor Trash Can is primarily designed for indoor use. Its stainless steel construction is durable, but exposure to rain, extreme temperatures, or direct sunlight can diminish its lifespan. However, it fits excellently in kitchens, bathrooms, or offices, providing a hygienic, stylish waste disposal solution indoors.
  • Question: Can I use regular trash bags with the SONGMICS automatic garbage can?

Answer: Yes, you can use regular trash bags with the SONGMICS Motion Sensor Trash Can. It is designed to accommodate standard 13-gallon trash bags, making it convenient for easy replacements. Additionally, the bag holder inside keeps the bag secure, preventing it from slipping into the bin and ensuring a mess-free experience.
  • Question: Does the SONGMICS trash can require batteries or a power outlet?

Answer: The SONGMICS Motion Sensor Trash Can operates on 4 D batteries, providing an efficient and cordless experience. This battery-powered feature means you can place it anywhere without worrying about power outlets. Moreover, it ensures the trash can remains functional even during power outages, making it versatile and convenient.
  • Question: What maintenance is required for the SONGMICS Motion Sensor Trash Can?

Answer: To maintain the SONGMICS trash can, it is recommended to regularly wipe the stainless steel surface with a soft, damp cloth to prevent fingerprints and smudges. Additionally, replacing the batteries when the sensor becomes less responsive ensures its efficient operation. Regularly emptying the trash and changing the bag is essential for hygiene.
  • Question: What design features enhance the functionality of this trash can?

Answer: The SONGMICS Trash Can features a slim, modern design that fits seamlessly into tight spaces while maximizing capacity. The soft-close lid is a significant design element, preventing noise when the lid closes. Its fingerprint-resistant finish helps keep the can looking clean, and the chic appearance complements various home decor styles.
  • Question: What scenarios are best suited for using this automatic trash can?

Answer: The SONGMICS Motion Sensor Trash Can is ideal for busy kitchens where hands-free use can truly enhance efficiency. It's also suitable for bathrooms or nurseries, where parents frequently need to dispose of items without compromising hygiene. Office environments can benefit from its touchless feature, improving convenience and cleanliness.
  • Question: How does the soft-close lid feature work?

Answer: The soft-close lid feature on the SONGMICS trash can employs a hydraulic mechanism that allows the lid to close slowly and quietly after use. This is particularly advantageous in shared living spaces, as it minimizes noise disruption, making it suitable for households with young children or in workplaces looking for a quieter environment.
  • Question: Where can I buy the SONGMICS Motion Sensor Trash Can?

Answer: You can buy the SONGMICS Motion Sensor Trash Can from Ubuy in Saint Pierre and Miquelon. Ubuy offers a wide selection of high-quality products, making it a reliable choice for your automatic garbage can needs.
