Some users observed that the keypad did not work effectively and unlocked only with the pressing of the * or # keys. The beeping of the Viking Security Safe VS-50BLX when the door is not latched in about 15 seconds could also be annoying. Users also suggested that the product could use an illuminated keypad and multiple codes instead of having only one code at a time.
