répondre: It seems tear free.. does not seem to bother my 18 month old when used on face. It definitely does not sting when I use it myself. We do not use it as a cleanser though. I use weleda calendula baby shampoo and wash and later on follow with this cream bath. Since it leaves the skin very moisturized, we could skip applying any moisturizing lotions especially on a squirmy toddler.. hope this help -

The Weleda Baby Calendula 2-in-1 Gentle Shampoo and Body Wash is an all-natural, plant-based cleanser that does an excellent job of cleaning a baby's skin and hair. Its key ingredients are Sweet Almond Oil, Sesame Seed Oil and Calendula Flower Extract, which make it gentle enough for newborns. However, it is not completely tear-free, so be careful when washing around the eye area. You can dilute it with water to get a clean feeling without being too harsh on sensitive skin. It has a good, soothing scent that helps make bath time more enjoyable.
