The ClosetMaid 1316 4-Tier Wood Ladder Shelf Bookcase is a laminated wood and powder-coated steel material that has four different shelf depths that measure 18", 14", 10", and 6”. Each shelve can hold up to 25 lbs. if weight is evenly distributed. The shelf is shipped in a package that is about 4 feet tall, 1 1/2 feet wide, and 4 inches thick. Although the shelf looks great, some customers complained about the price being too expensive and the fact that assembling the shelf was difficult because instructions were inaccurate and pieces were mislabeled. The Allen keys that came with the shelf had to be forced into some screws. The instructions were a bit confusing but the shelf is stable and looks great. Others reported it was very easy to assemble, and although it is a bit wobbly, it was a good deal for the price. One customer reported receiving a package that was a bit damp and a little torn, but it was still easy to assemble and very sturdy.
