The book is praised for its structured approach to facilitating player improvement, catering to both novice and experienced backgammon enthusiasts. Readers have unanimously highlighted its practical focus on money play over tournament strategies, emphasizing its effectiveness in enhancing real-game performance. This engaging method allows for a quick study, often fitting into brief 5-minute bathroom reading sessions that can yield significant learning benefits over time. Robertie's explanations are Considered world-class, and the variety of problems is seen as both comprehensive and educational. Critiques primarily target the book's organization; readers found the need to flip between pages for problems and solutions slightly cumbersome.
