Equipped with a 2.5" aluminum voice coil, this subwoofer provides maximum current distribution throughout the entire subwoofer. The dual voice coils give you more installation options, allowing you to wire each woofer in either series or parallel. What sets this subwoofer apart is the aluminum shorting ring.
Placed in the air gap between the pole piece and the voice coil, this conductive aluminum ring reduces inductance, resulting in reduced distortion and improved sound quality. Typically found in higher-end subwoofers, this feature is now available at a pocket-friendly price point. The VSW122v2 utilizes a Y30 High-Energy Ferrite Magnet to handle big sound.
