The liner in the hose is polyurethane and is NSF61 approved. However, that approval only extends to the liner, the brass fittings on this hose aren't any type of special potable brass fittings. The hose is not recommended for potable water. The hose only comes in 50ft. lengths. Reviews show that the hose is prone to kinking and the fittings blowing off during first use. However, some customers find the hose lightweight, durable and very helpful. One customer warns that it is not suitable for low water pressure, as it needs to be run under pressure. Another customer found it too thick to fit on their reel, but they will make a reel it fits on. Overall, the hose is not well suited to garden use and its durability and lightweight nature make it ideal for forestry use.
