It has a great compressor and EQ, capable of creating a clean or distorted sound according to preference. One disadvantage is that the included tube may be noisy, so it may need to be upgraded. Additionally, it is out of phase with other preamps, but this is solved by simply using the phase switch. It is not the quietest because of its tube design, but this is common with ribbon microphones. However, despite its shortcomings, it creates great warmth for vocals, as well as ultra crisp sound quality if paired with a Blue Kiwi Microphone.
